A $255,000 commissioned public art installation by Almonte artists Marcus Kucey-Jones and Ryan Lotecki, the ‘Wellington Marbles’ was officially unveiled at the Wellington West Sculpture Day on Sept. 25. Eighteen sculptures along Wellington Ave. pay tribute to local culture and activity by playfully fusing the familiar fire hydrant with local food, musical instruments and artistic tools – all in Italian marble. But what’s the buzz on our newly-decorated main street?
