Kitchissippi United Church members hosted the second Out-of-the-Box Fibre Art exhibit and high tea on April 12 and 13 to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Spring snow couldn’t keep the crowds away from this amazing collection of fibre artwork ranging from machine and hand embroiderers, art quilters, weavers, felters, doll makers, embellishers, silk painters, appraisers, dyers as well as other needle workers and mixed media.
Over $4000 was raised for the Stephen Lewis Grandmother’s campaign from admission fees and the high tea on Saturday. The total sales of art work for the two days was $5,537.
